The Sunny SoCal Brochure is a Lie

10/06/11  The sunny SoCal brochure is a lie!  It rained all day yesterday and is freezing this morning!  I am on set for Suburgatory to be a coffee shop patron.  I was scheduled to work Face Off today but unfortunately received a phone call yesterday saying that the challenge I was supposed to work was cancelled.  They are going to be having a dance audition at some point as part of one of the challenges and they will call me for that.  Bummer but maybe it is making room in my schedule so I will be able to book something else.  Maybe some SAG projects! 
My day today started by pulling into the garage and them not finding my name on the list.  Then they said just park anyway and check in at the visitor center on the street level.  Ok, so I park on level three and take the elevator down to level one to which is by the street and I do not see any visitor center.  I look across the street, where I had been told by booking where I would have to go and I think, well that must be where I need to go on the street level.  I cross the street and then try to check in over there and they end up sending me back because I need a pass so I head back to where I parked and once there, on level one and I still do not see anywhere to check in.  Now a lost look is practically written all over my face.  A nice man sees this obviously confused look on my face and directs me to level two where the visitor check in is.  Of course, I should have known, street level is on level two, hmm.  Anyways I give my ID to them and they still cannot find me on any list.  After many questions and phone calls, they finally find me.  Badge in hand, I cross the street yet again.  There they inspect my bags and send me to the show to check in which is a cluster.  After checking in I head to wardrobe where they hate everything I brought.  It is funny they do not like the options I brought with me because they had told me when I was booked to bring Ralph Lauren, Anthropologie and Gap type clothes.  So those are exactly the brands I bring and they do not like anything.  Then what they put me in is really ugly, so now I think they are just messing with me because they can.  Oh well!  I am happy to be working in the field that I want to be working in and also thank goodness that it is sunny today!  The brochure may be semi truthful after all.
