![]() 03/30/15 Sometimes I just need to follow my own advice. We are in the middle of a crazy schedule of travel and shows. As said in my last posting I am looking forward to returning to Los Angeles soon once the tour closes and for the new projects and opportunities that are ahead. Disappointingly, some of those aforementioned projects have fallen through and others postponed. I guess that is the nature of this business; do not get excited until the contract is signed and things do not always turn out exactly the way you thought they would. That being said, I am still really excited to return home (not only to just be home and be with Joe and Snoogles of course) but also to get back to class, auditioning and putting myself out there. I have to remind myself that I have had to turn down various projects because of being away on tour. And that I have not been there in the game to audition for projects in person, which makes a big difference. Recently, I have posted a some words of wisdom to my social media pages including a picture of myself wearing a great t-shirt that says “Don’t give up, don’t ever give up”. I need to remember that. Also, I quoted a book I am reading, Independent Ed by Edward Burns, “If you want to survive in this brutal climate,” Gill continued, “you’re going to have to work a lot harder, be a lot smarter, know a bit more, move a lot faster, sell a lot better, pay attention to the data, be a little nicer (okay, a lot nicer), trust your gut, read everything, and never, ever give up.” Lastly, I posted a quote from the new movie Cinderella, “Have Courage and Be Kind.” I need to remember to take my own advice.
