05/02/11 My dance reel project is being edited as I write this! Once it is finished I will send it on and hopefully get to work with this theatre agent! Since last time I wrote, I met with a manager who offered some great advice, traveled back to Ohio for a whirlwind trip including a baby shower and Easter festivities, and put together that dance reel! I am exhausted! I forgot, I also modeled in a runway show that was one of the most unorganized events that I have ever been a part of. The model coordinator ran around not really coordinating anything and could not remember anyone’s name so he just called everyone Rock Star. It was actually very frustrating, but chalk it up to experience. Today I went to a commercial audition where I had the wrong sides and then just about tripped and fell as I was walking back out into the hallway to practice the correct ones! Ok really I did trip and fall to my knee and luckily not all of the way down to the floor. They were very nice about having the wrong sides and said I was not the only one. No worries, the audition must go on. And it did and went pretty well. Currently, I am at a promo model casting for a Cinco de Mayo event. Side note, a girl at the audition had a skirt and tights on with tall heels and came out of the bathroom with her skirt tucked into her tights! Eek! I have never seen this in real life only in sitcoms or movies! Anyways, tomorrow is a musical audition that I am super excited for! Looking forward to heading to AZ for the weekend! Updates to come on the dance reel…As I was leaving the promo model casting, I tripped and fell up the stairs! Twice in one day! I was fine and played it of well I think but maybe this is a key indicator of my exhaustion right now. Not sure just feel a little off today. It seems a lot of people are feeling that way. Maybe the announcement of Bin Laden’s capture/killing has something to do with it and the feelings it brings up for people. By the way, I was sort of disappointed in some of the comments posted. I usually do not comment or post much in regards to religious or political statements on Face book or wherever, but I do think the Vatican’s comments were pretty good. “In the face of a man’s death, a Christian never rejoices, but reflects on the serious responsibilities of each person before God and before men, and hopes and works so that every event may be the occasion for the further growth of peace and not of hatred.”
