06/23/15 June Gloom is shaping up to be a little less gloomy thankfully. June is a tricky month which is odd because a lot of folks look forward to June all year long. June signals the end of the school year and a time for summer fun and vacation. June for me is a month that most shows are on hiatus and commercials and other things that would normally be shooting have taken a holiday. Auditions are scarce. Plus, in June in Los Angeles is not sunny and blue skies. In Los Angeles, we have what is called June Gloom. And let me tell you it is gloomier than ever this year. However, I decided to write today because I am feeling good and feeling progress and have marked some goals off of my list today. About a week and a half ago, I did my first stand up comedy set at The Comedy Store. (A video will be posted later.) Also, I just finished my last week of improv class at UCB, for now, followed up by our show last night. I am right in line to finish with 401 before the end of the year which is also one of my goals. And after this past weekend another credit will be added to my IMDB. Also, I am excited to announce that I will be in Footloose this summer performing at The Laguna Playhouse. Plus, I had a young actor from my home state of Ohio write me a message on how I inspired him and also asking for a little actor advice. That made my week! So long June Gloom!
